Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the formation and development of the concept of business models. It also discusses the development of definitions, development history of instruments for business modelling. Possible directions for use of business models based on management needs at different development stages of the enterprise have been identified. The evolution of the development of business models has been analyzed, and the results of the research performed by the authors for revealing new trends in the formation of business models of modern Russian and foreign companies have been presented. The author has also made an attempt to forecast future trends in this direction.
